San Francisco Local Social Issues. Ask anyone who has been to San Francisco, lived in San Francisco or knows about San Francisco--"it's a great city!" I have lived here since I was born and there is a consistent hum of progressive thought and activism, but for its renowned progressive population, I am surprised Matt Gonzalez won the mayoral electoins, that so many are homeless, that on a citywide level there is little cohesiveness and concentration of energies. I see a lot of people not collaborating enough. I have been in groups against war and even there I have witnessed competition and isolation from even other peace groups. This tribe could be an opportunity for Everyone to be involved in this wonderful city we not just live in but are sharing with tons of other people that are having the same ideas as you and like you wondering how the hell they could do something about it.
